The first inaugural flight of the Rosario - Lima route from the Islas Malvinas International Airport in Rosario took place this Sunday, through Latam airline, signifying the strategic recovery of this destination - after four years without connection - within the framework of the actions carried out by the Provincial Government with the aim of establishing links with more international destinations and boosting the productive development of Santa Fe.
On the occasion, the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, said: “This route is extremely important for the province because it puts us on the global tourism and trade map, in addition to providing us with more possibilities for the transfer of international cargo, connecting the productive sector of Santa Fe with more and more points. From today, Santa Fe opens the doors to 25 international destinations and numerous destinations within Peru," he explained.
For her part, the provincial secretary of Transport and Logistics, Renata Ghilotti, highlighted that "this route that we are restarting is part of the provincial strategic plan of Governor Maximiliano Pullaro's administration, which seeks to promote logistics and strengthen the infrastructure of Santa Fe's airports with the aim of boosting the development of the productive interior and its outlets to the world".
Meanwhile, Latam's commercial manager, Florencia Scardaccione, said that "it is a source of pride for those of us who are part of the company to recover this route, which is of transcendental importance, not only because it facilitates the connectivity of citizens to a key international destination, but also because it will allow Rosario and the whole region to reconnect with the world, promoting commercial and tourist exchange".
