Pullaro: “We are opening State purchases through much more transparent processes”

This was said by the governor at the first edition of Vincular, the meeting that brings together Santa Fe sellers and buyers from different levels of the State, held this Thursday in Santa Fe.

This is the first time it has been held and been organized by the Ministry of Productive Development.

The governor of the Province of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, visited this afternoon the public-private business round called ‘Vincular Santa Fe 2024’. It is the first time it has been held and was organised by the Ministry of Productive Development.

The event aims to connect, in a direct way, the supply of goods and services of Santa Fe companies with the demand of the public sector, improving and expanding the participation of Santa Fe production in public procurement. The rounds are attended by representatives of municipalities and municipalities of the province, ministries, agencies and decentralised bodies; provincial state companies and companies with majority state participation; legislative and judicial powers.

During the activity, which took place this Thursday at the La Redonda Cultural Space in the city of Santa Fe, the governor explained that ‘the aim is for Santa Fe companies to be able to relate to the state. With this Vincular Santa Fe initiative, we have managed to bring public purchasers, state bodies, to this hall. This allows us to offer all the purchasing capacity that the state has to companies in the province of Santa Fe.

‘Vincular Santa Fe invites all those who can be suppliers of the State to come, to present themselves and to show their products, and also to receive technical advice so that they can compete,’ Governor Pullaro remarked.

Likewise, the governor said: “Vincular is opening state purchases to all Santa Fe companies with much more transparent processes, that is what we must emphasise.” “It is useful for us because we make the processes much more transparent, we open them up and this will lower our costs, and it is useful for Santa Fe companies because they basically sell what they are producing, and they can possibly incorporate people to be able to produce more.”

A State that targets Santa Fe suppliers

‘This is the first business round that we are carrying out, and we hope that it can grow more and more. Companies often did not approach the state as suppliers due to a lack of information and also because the state lacked transparency processes and a call for tenders so that everyone could enter,’ he explained. He continued: “There are very small companies that find it difficult to understand the mechanisms of the state, the regulatory and legal mechanisms.” “For this reason, all state purchasers are made available, the different companies are advised so that they understand the bidding processes carried out by the state, and these procedures are brought closer to the state so that they can compete.”

Articulating local companies with the business world

Finally, the governor highlighted and listed the business initiatives that were implemented in the first year of his administration: “It was a very hard year, economically for the state, but also for companies.” “But the Province coordinated a lot: we started with programmes of subsidised rates so that different companies, industries, could have sales capacity, sustain their sales capacity, with about 60,000 million pesos that we contributed with subsidies in rates with resources from the Province that allowed us to sustain the rhythm of work of many companies’.

‘We implemented the In Company 2024 programme, with which we advised many companies so that they could start thinking about exporting. We had the Santa Fe Business Forum, which allowed us to link 300 international buyers with the business world of the province. We also ran the Tecno Industria 4.0 programme to carry out technological innovation projects and programmes, and now the Vincular Santa Fe programme so that our Santa Fe companies can become suppliers to the state.”

Vincular

‘Vincular Santa Fe’ was attended by 672 companies registered as potential sellers and 222 buyers: 128 municipalities, 57 municipalities and 37 public bodies. There were also 14 stands, micro-enterprises of territorial representativeness and banks that provided advice on credit offers.

The business rounds had an estimated time of 20 minutes, with 5-minute intervals between each one. Each entity, municipality or commune occupied a table or desk and the bidders were looking for the respective numbered tables.
