Vice-governor Gisela Scaglia and the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, announced this Wednesday the awarding and start of work on the new underground electrical distributor in the Los Polígonos Industrial Park (located at Teniente Loza 7198), a key work for the industrial development of the city of Santa Fe.
The work which will be carried out by the company Cocyar SA consists of the installation of a new 13.2 kV underground distributor, which will provide the necessary electrical power for the industrial area and its surroundings.
Scaglia said that ‘without productive development there is no possible Santa Fe. That is why, as Governor Maximiliano Pullaro says, we must work on three axes: Security, Education and Productive Development’. ‘Touring the industrial parks we found many industries, with a lot of drive, but also with the need to have many more industrial areas in the province,’ explained the vice-governor.
Meanwhile, Puccini pointed out that the work ‘is the most important announcement of our administration, here, in the city of Santa Fe, and has to do with giving energy to an industrial area, something that has been demanded for many years and that was among the requests of the Mesa Productiva’; and recalled that ‘although there was a decree that stipulated the public-private articulation, we had to work hard to make it happen’.
Regarding the work, he specified that ‘there will be 3 megawatts that will arrive through an underground station, which will inject energy into the companies that are working here’ and highlighted ‘the work of articulation, because here, the three parties, the private sector with the industries, the Municipality and the provincial government are going to make contributions. The work will be financed by the province: 2,600 million pesos; and when the work is finished, the municipality and the companies will be reimbursed.
‘We have found a way to move forward in something as important as energy, and what is happening in this park is happening in many places where there is a lack of energy and power. Hopefully in the term of 8 months we can have the work completed, because institutionally it is very important, and for production the energy that is needed is more than strategic. The city of Santa Fe must recover its productive role, it is a logistical hub that has tremendous potential’, concluded Puccini.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Santa Fe, Juan Pablo Poletti, indicated that ‘when things are done well, they must be followed, promoted and fulfilled’, and highlighted the provincial government's investment in the capital city.
Public-private articulation
For his part, the senator for the department of La Capital, Julio ‘Paco’ Garibaldi, said that ‘we are settling one of the debts we have in Santa Fe’ and stressed that the work ‘will allow the more than 20 companies that are located in the park to produce, because the best social policy is productive and economic development, which allows the inclusion we need’.
Finally, the president of the Industrial Union of Santa Fe, Cristian Fiereder said that ‘for the people of Santa Fe it is a very important day because 15 years ago this place was a cellar. The Industrial Union has been working for more than 12 years with this request for energy. For us this is fundamental, and it is thanks to the work done by the Ministry of Productive Development and its entire team. Industry has a transformative capacity and not only transforms raw materials, not only uses technology, but can also transform societies. And without energy, no development is possible,’ Fiereder concluded.
The event was attended by the Secretary of Institutional Management of the Ministry of Justice and Security, Virginia Coudannes; the Secretary of Human Rights, Emilio Jatón; the President of the Deliberative Council, Adriana ‘Chuchi’ Molina, and the Municipal Secretary of Production, Rosario Aleman.
