The Governor remarked: "entering into a virtuous circle that allows us to generate stable employment with economic growth in the province".
Governor Maximiliano Pullaro led the opening of the first edition of Expo Empleo, organised by the Government of Santa Fe, which seeks to connect talent with job opportunities for the people of Santa Fe, bringing together in one place more than 100 companies - with more than 1,300 active job opportunities - with men and women of all ages who are looking for their first job or to change jobs.
The event took place at Estación Fluvial Rosario and will be repeated on 20 November at the A. Malvicino Stadium of the Union Club in the city of Santa Fe.
In the case of Rosario, more than 3 thousand people were able to find classified ads, contact human resources consultants, meet with companies that showed how they work, participate in talks and conferences on the world of work and register for job training offered by the Province through Impulsa and other programmes.
During the opening, Pullaro stressed: “The Expo Empleo is an important event because it shows that Santa Fe is recovering, is moving forward and manages to articulate between the public and private sectors, the needs of many Santa Fe men and women".
Milestone
The governor assured that the conference "has to be one of the milestones of our administration, and year after year to be able to replicate it and that each time it can be bigger and use technological tools such as artificial intelligence, which give the best profiles so that people and companies that trust us, can take the best resources and thus enter into a virtuous circle that allows us to generate stable employment, but fundamentally generate economic growth in the province of Santa Fe".
The Vice Governor, Gisela Scaglia; the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Roald Báscolo; the Secretary of Employment and Entrepreneurial Development, Hernán Franco; the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Province, Clara García; the Senator for Rosario, Ciro Seisas; councillors, among others, also took part in the event.
Bridge
The vice-governor, Gisela Scaglia, pointed out that as a provincial government "we set out on the first day to change the logic that work dignifies and makes it real: that work generates opportunities, and that private work is what the Province of Santa Fe needs". She therefore recognised "the people who trust in this expo as a bridge to change their lives, to begin a path in a trade, a job, an experience; and the companies that use this meeting as that bridge where they will train and take people who are beginning a career path".
For his part, the Minister of Labour, Roald Báscolo, remarked: "This is the first event of its kind and in this sense, we had set as our objective to bring together at least 50 companies in Rosario and at least guarantee 500 job searches. The objective was fully surpassed because we have more than 100 companies present today and there are already more than 1,300 job searches that are going to be here today, for all those who are present, and there are more than 3,000 who have signed up".
Connecting talent with opportunities
The Secretary for Employment and Entrepreneurial Development, Hernán Franco, explained that in the case of the Expo Empleo held in Rosario, "the vacancies are provided by the companies that receive people who have been taking turns. There are more than 100 companies that are with assigned shifts and potential profiles of people that we have been inviting from the training courses that we did throughout the year", to which he added: "We have human resources consultants, we have our own job searches of the Employment Secretariat with technical assistance and we have more companies outside demonstrating experience in the work and also with job searches".
At the Expo there is an employment mediation area; attendees will have job offers from the main productive matrixes of the province; there will be talks and panels on job placement, human resources and the future of work. In addition, the Government of the Province will offer the “Impulsa” training proposal, a programme that invites the productive sector to get moving, promoting specific training to boost the development of regional economies, encouraging every Santa Fe resident to learn the trade that drives the economy of their region.
