Within the framework of Santa Fe's participation in the Argentina Oil & Gas Fair, the Minister of Productive Development of Santa Fe, Gustavo Puccini, held meetings with the Ministers of Infrastructure and of Economy, Production and Industry of the Government of Neuquén to advance in a cooperation agreement that allows to strengthen the industries of both provinces, and to promote - among other things - the transfer of technology.
The meeting took place hours after Governor Maximiliano Pullaro - together with Puccini - met with his Neuquén counterpart Rolando Figueroa. "Our industrial sector is the most powerful in Argentina. Faced with the growth of the gas, mining and oil industry, we have a great opportunity to take advantage of. In Oil & Gas we participate with 70 companies that are already suppliers of Vaca Muerta or are looking to enter this market. Our role is to accompany them and create the conditions to win new markets because that will allow us to generate more jobs," said Minister Puccini.
Puccini, who was accompanied by the Secretary of Industrial Development, Guillermo Beccani, and the Director of Infrastructure and Industrial Strengthening, Pablo Bonetto, led a meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure, Rubén Etcheverry, and was later received by Guillermo Koenig, Minister of Economy, Production and Industry, where they made progress on the guidelines for the preparation of a framework agreement to strengthen the link for the development of suppliers, the local purchase was put on the table, and the insertion of Santa Fe as a strategic ally for the growth of oil and gas production.
"We noticed a very good reception in which our approach as a province was highly valued. We are going to advance in the coordination of missions to exchange production experiences. Neuquén is growing and will continue to do so, not only with Vaca Muerta, but also as a province and in terms of infrastructure. Santa Fe can contribute valuable resources in this area. We want to strengthen the link, be complementary allies and promote the exchange of goods and services.
We have all the attributes to achieving this and we are working tirelessly to do so," said Puccini.
Etcheverry also stated that "there was interest in achieving a partnership between companies from Santa Fe and Neuquén" and announced that they plan to visit Santa Fe in the coming months to make progress in this interaction and strengthen commercial ties.
Expo Oil & Gas
Expo Oil & Gas Patagonia -organised by the Instituto Argentino del Petróleo y del Gas- is the summit meeting of hydrocarbons in the region and is an unmissable event for all industry players.
Since its first edition, it has positioned itself as a showcase for all the latest products, technologies and undertakings. Santa Fe brought 70 companies to the event. "As a province we have a strong industrial development, today there are more than 250 companies that are suppliers in different mining, gas and oil projects. Since December we have been working with the Gas, Mining and Oil Round Table, which was already established, but we have a focused look to strengthen the sector and generate real growth, to consolidate our position at the national level," said Beccani.
