SIAL 2024, an event held in the capital of France in which the Government of Santa Fe directly accompanied the participation of 9 companies from Santa Fe and participated in strategic meetings.

The Province of Santa Fe was present at SIAL 2024, the world's largest food fair, which took place in Paris from 19 to 23 October, bringing together more than 7,500 exhibitors from 130 countries and attracting more than 300,000 visitors. In this context, the Ministry of Productive Development, together with the Rosario Stock Exchange, accompanied 30 companies from Santa Fe - 9 of them participated in the official stand of Santa Fe -, giving them the opportunity to show the quality of their products and explore new business opportunities.

In addition, the Government of Santa Fe held a series of strategic meetings with the aim of boosting foreign trade and opening new markets in Europe. "SIAL is the global epicentre where the latest innovations in food products are exhibited and is a key platform for companies seeking to expand their international markets," remarked Minister Gustavo Puccini and then assured that "this is the most awaited event by exporters from all over the world and our performance demonstrates the quality of the meat and food we produce in Santa Fe.

In this edition, from the province we are directly accompanying 9 companies that, thanks to this support are consolidating markets and identifying new opportunities".

Santa Fe's presence

It is worth noting that, in addition to the nine companies assisted by the province, more than 20 companies from Santa Fe participated in the pavilions of the Argentine Beef Promotion Institute and the Argentine Pavilion, exhibiting the diversity of products from Santa Fe. This presence was also accompanied for the first time by the Rosario Stock Exchange, which for the first time participated together with the Province of Santa Fe in a trade mission abroad. "This shows the synergy that exists between this provincial administration and the private sector", emphasised Puccini.

In addition to the exhibition of products, SIAL was the setting for strategic meetings for Santa Fe's foreign trade policy. In coordination with the national government, Santa Fe held a meeting at the Argentine Embassy in France, which aimed to strengthen trade links with the European market. At the meeting, the Minister held a dialogue with Ambassador Ian Sielecki, accompanied by Miguel Simioni, President of the Rosario Stock Exchange, and Juan Cruz Miranda, Minister of Digital Inclusion of Catamarca. "We exchanged views on the importance of exploring opportunities in biodiesel and the knowledge economy, in addition to detailing our strengths in the dairy, cereals and meat sectors. We discussed the need to strengthen infrastructure financing and made progress on the French fund that we have been managing for some months and which is aimed at energy efficiency," said Puccini.

For her part, the Secretary of Foreign Trade, Georgina Losada, gave details of the meeting with the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Nation, Karina Milei, and the joint activities with the National Production Coordinator, Juan Pazo. In this respect, Losada indicated that "it was possible to show the strength of the Santa Fe firms, the slaughterhouses and the dairy and legume companies that make us great". In line with the commitment to promote the international insertion of Santa Fe companies, Puccini concluded by assuring that "at present, of the 6000 companies in the province, 750 export. The objective of the governor Maximiliano Pullaro's administration is to double that number. We are working to make Santa Fe the key to Argentina's productive development, with facts and results".
