Efficiency in the State: Santa Fe seeks to lower costs in bringing private companies together with the public sector

The Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, presented "Linking Santa Fe 2024", which will be held on 14 November in the provincial capital. The aim is to bring together different state bodies with potential suppliers.

"We have a great opportunity for more companies, more SMEs, more entrepreneurs, to have support from the state," said Minister Puccini.

"We have a great opportunity for more companies, more SMEs, and more entrepreneurs to get support from the State", said the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini. The Business Round "Vincular Santa Fe 2024", which be held on 14 November in the provincial capital, is aimed at Santa Fe firms from different sectors of the industrial sector. This is a continuity of public-private meetings, and in this case with the aim that the provincial state and the different levels achieve greater efficiency in their purchases, reducing costs.

The presentation took place this Tuesday at the Government headquarters in Rosario, where the head of the productive portfolio remarked that there is "a conviction that in these four years of management we will make a leap in quality for the province, for what the governor Maximiliano Pullaro entrusted to us: an efficient, transparent and austere State".

He was accompanied by the Secretary of Industrial Development, Guillermo Beccani; the Undersecretary of Public Innovation of the Ministry of Government and Innovation, Juan Martín Atencio; the President of the Rosario Business Association and Secretary General of the Argentine Chamber of Medium-sized Companies (Came), Ricardo Diab; the provincial deputy Clara García; among other authorities and representatives of institutions.

Puccini stressed the importance of this type of round because "all the ministries have large purchases, and the municipalities and communes also have many purchases on a daily basis, and we want to link all the municipalities from north to south with the suppliers of the province; many of them probably do not know each other".

Puccini informed that the round would take place at La Redonda -Salvador del Carril and Belgrano- in the provincial capital on November 14th. "It will be the third business round of our administration. The first was together with the Argentine Chamber of Medium-sized Businesses, we linked the food sector, and there were 3,550 business meetings. The second was the Santa Fe Business Forum, where we brought 200 buyers from more than 40 countries to Rosario, and there were 3,120 business meetings. And next year there will be more.

"In Vincular Santa Fe 2024, financial institutions and development agencies will also participate, because we want them to also be in this space where mayors and buyers from each municipality are linked with companies in different areas," he added.
Finally, the minister concluded: "We believe in the State, in a State that is present, that listens, that articulates with the private world, to strengthen our productive sector".

Unprecedented activity

Secretary Guillermo Beccani described as "unprecedented" the activity that will take place on 14 November, and explained that "more than 250 municipalities, municipalities, ministries, legislature, judiciary, public companies, autonomous entities and port entities will be able to make contact with the productive supply of Santa Fe at different levels: industrial, commercial and services. The objective is to optimise public procurement by the State and generate possibilities for our productive sector".

Main items and modality

The main items planned for the round will be foodstuffs; road maintenance machinery; lighting items; bodywork, trailers and semi-trailers; signs and signage; mattresses; construction services; cleaning materials; clothing; medical supplies and medicines; construction materials; furniture; tires; paints and related items; safety items; urban and recreational equipment; and tools.
More than 2,000 people are expected to attend, including suppliers -industries and commercial and service companies- and buyers -municipalities and municipalities, provincial ministries, legislative and judicial powers and other state bodies and agencies, such as EPE, Aguas Santafesinas, ASSAL, port authorities and airports-.

The business rounds will have an estimated time of 20 minutes, with 5-minute intervals between each one. Each municipality or commune will occupy a table or desk, and the bidders will be looking for the respective numbered tables. It is also foreseen that representatives of the General Directorate of Industries will attend to queries from attendees on issues in the area. Those companies interested in participating should register through the link https://sf.gob.ar/vincular.
