Pullaro: "When we see a Santa Fe athlete competing in the world we feel proud to belong to this province"

The governor said so during the recognition of athletes who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It took place this afternoon in the White Hall of the Government Headquarters in Rosario.

The governor recognised athletes who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Governor of the Province of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, participated in the ceremony where 20 athletes from Santa Fe who participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games held in Paris between July and September were honoured.

In the White Hall of the Government headquarters in Rosario and in charge of the Ministry of Equality and Human Development, through the Secretariat of Sports, athletes, coaches and judges of the province who participated in Paris during this year were recognised.

On the occasion, Pullaro remarked "the immense honour and pride" for the athletes and highlighted "the effort and dedication to reach this great sporting event that brings together the most outstanding people in the world representing our invincible province of Santa Fe. When we see a person from Santa Fe compete or triumph in the world, we become stronger and feel proud to belong to this province".

"They showed that they are an example of effort, perseverance, perseverance and they are the example that the province of Santa Fe had in this important sporting competition. We are very proud to belong to our province," said Governor Pullaro.
He also stated that "the State and the Government of the Province of Santa Fe will always support you because the example you showed in Paris is a path to follow and a path to copy for many Santa Fe men and women who want to get ahead".

For her part, the Minister of Equality and Human Development, Victoria Tejeda, thanked the athletes "for participating and setting an example and for their decision to represent our province and our country. What you are doing is a life choice, leaving many things aside, and embarking on a path that requires a lot of effort.

Support

"From the administration we are embarking on a path of recognising those who have made this effort, because they also represent us and identify us. That is why we are supporting the clubs, the intermediate institutions, because we understand that sport in some way also saves lives - in the economic and social context we are living in - and you are a reflection of that," the minister emphasised.

Finally, the Secretary of Sports of the Province, Flavia Padín, acknowledged that to achieve this "you have to work every day, you have to start small, many people who are recognised today have started at some point in some club in a recreational way and even decided later that this sport was going to be part of their life".

"Getting to participate in the Olympic and Paralympic Games is extremely difficult and you all know it; but it has to do with this path, starting in the club, associating and supporting each other in the federations and above all in the families", closed the Secretary of Sports of the Province.
