Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, participated in the meeting of the Gas, Oil and Mining Board, which brought together more than 230 industries and entities linked to the sector in the city of Rosario.
On the occasion, Pullaro said that "we have to demonstrate, in each of the areas in which we have to generate public policies, that our province stands out for our productive DNA. In Santa Fe we want to show what we are proud of, our industrial sector, strengthen it and make it available to the whole of Argentina and each of the opportunities that open up to us in the world".
"We do not have minerals, copper, lithium or oil, but we do have the immense capacity to supply large projects that will come to the country; and for that we have to be prepared and on the front line to cover that immense demand", the governor stressed and highlighted the importance of being "sitting down, the public and private sectors, discussing, debating, seeing what the role of each one is".
Pullaro went on to say that "companies must be reconverted and the provincial government will support them, as it has been doing, with tax subsidies, so that they can be more efficient and effective, so that they can improve their production process; because we understand that this is the only way to have the potential and the possibility of generating the productive levels that we must achieve in the coming years in Argentina".
"For this provincial government, Argentina will move forward if it manages to produce more, if it manages to create jobs and if it manages to generate economic growth, and we are going to do that together. And you should know that the Government of the Province of Santa Fe is an ally of each and every one of you," Pullaro concluded.
Development policies
In turn, Puccini remarked that "our industrial sector is the strongest in Argentina; that is why, as the Government of the Province of Santa Fe, in view of the growth of the gas, mining and oil sectors, we are taking up and respecting what has been done at a table that was already set up. We have always said that anything that works well must be continued, that is what the private sector needs: credibility and certainty. The world is looking for energy transition, development and growth, and Santa Fe cannot be a stranger to this, because our companies, our products and entrepreneurs are demonstrating quality and talent day by day".
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Industrial Development, Guillermo Beccani, recalled that "this is a State policy that began in 2019, with which we seek to strategically leverage our industrial network in a sector that is expected to be a winner in the current economy. We are the second province in terms of industrial GDP, we have a great productive diversification, and we can be luxury suppliers of these new ventures and of these new investments that are coming to Argentina".
For her part, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Clara García, indicated that "we have held these working groups because it is the way to consolidate the linkages, to leverage those issues that give us a different productivity. This is why there is an enormous generation of quality employment based on the efforts of all the companies".
Finally, the president of the Industrial Federation of Santa Fe, Javier Martín, highlighted "the public-private articulation. Santa Fe has a lot to offer this sector, and as industrialists we have an enormous responsibility. Today in the province we have tools available: lines at subsidised rates, the Techno-Industry programme, and we have to use them for a great challenge, digital transformation. The opportunity is enormous, and this table is an institutional environment where we can learn together and, all those who already have experience, can use it, so that the industry of Santa Fe can be a key player".
During the meeting, the conference "Keys for the development of suppliers in the Gas, Oil and Mining sector" was held by national entities, and a plenary session of the members of the Bureau took place.
