After negotiations carried out by the Government of the Province before Aerolíneas Argentinas, there will be more daily frequencies in the flights to Aeroparque: two from July and three from October.

Sauce Viejo Airport announced new frequencies to Jorge Newbery International Airport. "After an important meeting with Aerolineas Argentinas authorities, we confirmed that from July we will have two daily frequencies and from October there will be three daily connections", confirmed the president of the Santa Fe aerostation, Gisela Riuli, and then recalled: "at present there is a daily flight due to a decision of Aerolineas Argentinas linked to the reduction of frequencies in all its destinations due to an internal reorganisation, affecting all airports in the country, including Sauce Viejo".

Boosting the airport

The meeting that led to the announcement took place this week in Buenos Aires and was attended by the Secretary of Transport of the Province, Renata Ghilotti, directors of Sauce Viejo Airport and the institutional manager of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Leandro Sereno. During the meeting, the opening of new routes was also discussed.

"Our air station must sustain the frequencies since most of our passengers are from the corporate and business sector. They are frequent users for whom flights are part of their regular work routine. Therefore, it is essential to establish 100% frequencies to Aeroparque from July and increase flights in October. In short: only during May and June we will have 1 daily frequency. In July we will recover one more, reaching 2 departures per day; while the commitment is to total 3 flights every 24 hours in October", added Riuli.

To conclude, Ghilotti stressed that the administration headed by the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, has set the objective of achieving a wider domestic connectivity: "In addition to providing a greater response to the business sector, we want our airport to be able to meet the demands of tourism. At the same time, we seek to position it for cargo operations that will boost the productive sector of the north-central region. For this, it is important to work together and permanently with the private sector; and in a network with the rest of the entities".
